EDMONTON _ A man charged with being an accessory after the fact in the murder of an RCMP officer made his first appearance in an Edmonton courtroom Monday.

Jarred Dale Nagle, 21, was only in court for a matter of seconds, however.

His case was put over to Oct. 29 to give him time to get a lawyer.

Nagle was taken into custody Friday _ the same day that Emrah Bulatci, 23, was found at a west Edmonton housing complex and arrested.

Bulatci is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Const. Christopher Worden, whose funeral is being held today in Ottawa.

Worden was shot Oct. 6 in Hay River, N.W.T., while answering a trouble call. © 2007 The Canadian Press
