GLENDALE, Ariz. – Today at 10:00 a.m. The Chase Bank inside the Fry’s Food Store, located at 59th Avenue and Beardsley Road, was robbed by a male suspect.

The suspect entered the bank, placed a suspicious device on the counter, and made a statement to a teller. The teller then handed over an undisclosed amount of currency to the suspect who then fled leaving the device behind.

The Chase Bank, as well as the Fry’s Food Store, were then evacuated for safety reasons and the Glendale Bomb Squad responded.

The bomb squad, after examining the device, determined that is was non explosive.

The Glendale Police Department would like the public’s help in locating the suspect who is described as a white male with dark hair, 25 to 30 years old, about 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing sneakers, knee length blue jean shorts, a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, light grey t-shirt and a black Addidas baseball cap.
