NEW YORK _ Rapper Foxy Brown has pleaded guilty to menacing a neighbour with her cell phone last year. She avoided jail based on time already served. The two women got into a fight July 31, 2007, over Brown blasting her car stereo outside their Brooklyn apartment building. As part of the plea deal, Brown wrote a letter apologizing to the victim and neighbour, Arlene Raymond. The rapper presented it to Justice John Walsh in state Supreme Court in Brooklyn on Thursday. The judge extended Raymond's order of protection. The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Inga Marchand, spent seven months in jail for a Manhattan case involving a fight she had with manicurists in a nail salon. She was released last month. © 2008 The Canadian Press |
